Royce Da 5’9 Says Eminem Can’t Be Defeated In Rap Battles

Eminem and his Bad Meets Evil partner Royce Da 5’9 have a long history together. If anyone knows how talented Eminem is, it’s Royce.

The people behind the Total Slaughter event this year asked Royce Da 5’9 to help out, and he says when it comes to rap battles, no one can beat Eminem.

“I don’t know,” he said to Vlad TV when he was asked if Eminem win make his return to rap battling. “I haven’t had a conversation with him in depth about his ‘return.’ It sounds so far-fetched to me but you never know, I never speak for Marshall, that’s one thing I never do because he’s very spontaneous like I am.

“You never know, man,” he continues. “If he wakes up one day and decides he wants to do it, it’s his platform [so] he can do it. Whoever it is is gonna lose. Nobody is gonna beat Em. I don’t care what anybody has to say it’s just my personal opinion. All of that shit that Dizaster does connecting the syllables, he’s like a fine mixture of a lot of great battle rappers and [Eminem] still has that. He can still freestyle and I think it would be great if he were to do that, definitely. But I don’t know if it’ll happen or not.”

The Beats Music Event – Full Performance

Beats Music released its new music streaming service back in January with a big launch concert at the Belasco Theatre where guests like Eminem, Diddy, Mase, Busta Rhymes, Nas, Ice Cube, Bone Thugz N Harmony and Beats co-founder Dr. Dre himself all performed.

Eminem – Pooh Butt Daily – 1988

eminempoohbutddaily

Audio of a 16-year-old Eminem rapping on song ‘Pooh Butt Daily’ has surfaced online. Listen to the track below.

The track which is believed to have been recorded between 1988 (when Eminem was 16) and 1991, pre-dates and showcases a completely different style. It sounds more like the cheery fare of De La Soul than the usually bleak contemporary sounds of Eminem. The title however shows his toilet humour was more than intact.

The track  features Eminem with his early collaborator Chaos Kid, who at the time performed under the name Soul Intent.

Will Eminem Participate In The Next ‘Total Slaughter’ Battle Rap Event?

Shady Records’ “Total Slaughter” battle rap event took over Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, on Saturday night and judging from the reaction, it’s safe to say that there’s enough demand to warrant a second show.

And, maybe Eminem will actually be present for the next one, since Hollow Da Don was bold enough to take shots at his manager Paul Rosenberg on stage — and apparently piss off Shady.

Hollow da Don faced off with Slaughterhouse’s Joe Budden for the main event of the night, going three rounds and coming out on top when Joey gave a lackluster showing in his final round. The New Jersey rapper actually threw down his mic in surrender because the crowd wouldn’t stop booing during round three, making the judges’ decision a pretty easy one.

During Hollow’s freestyles, he took shots at Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg and former Interscope president, Jimmy Iovine for messing with his money. Bold words, since Eminem’s team put the event together, but maybe that will command an appearance from Shady next time around.

Earlier in the night Murda Mook defeated Loaded Lux, Arsonal beat Big T and T-Rex got the best of Daylyt, who decided to literally strip off his clothes during their final round on stage.

Back in January, the members of Slaughterhouse appeared on “RapFix Live” to announce the launch of “The Road to Total Slaughter” reality show, which led up to the live battle. Royce, Joey, Crooked I and Joell explained why this was such an important move for the culture.

“Dr. Dre didn’t know Eminem was white until he first met him”

And Eminem didn’t know Dre was there until he turned on the light

A man and his son stood on a beach of white pebbles, next to a very deep and rich coal mine. The boy asked his father
“Dad, why is everyone talking about barrack Obama?
His dad, unsure how to answer this, picked up a piece of coal, and said that it symbolised barrack Obama. Then he threw it into the middle if the white pebbles, so it stood out amongst them, as it was black.
The boy understood, but then Picked up a white pebble and threw it into the coal min, again, it stood out.
“Dad, what does that pebble symbolise?”
“That son, symbolises Eminem.”

Eminem’s daughter Hailie Mathers has graduated school with highest honours. At the ceremony he paid tribute to her: “Hailie, you is one smart bitch, you gone done this motherfucker proud.”

I would post a joke about Eminem

Eminem joined on stage by Dr Dre as he makes history at London’s Wembley Stadium

Eminem_659x371_june

Eminem was joined by Dr. Dre for a rare live performance during his headline show at Wembley Stadium in London earlier tonight (July 11). Watch fan-shot footage above, now.

The rapper played the first of two huge gigs in Britain with support earlier in the evening provided by Danny Brown and Odd Future. Taking to the stage shortly before 9:30PM, Eminem was preceded by a video filling the audience in on the rapper’s back story from his early days in Detroit through to his troubled relationship with his family and more recent drug addiction and rehab.

Opening with ‘Bad Guy’, Eminem was joined by hype man Mr Porter who made reference to the historic nature of the gig and how it was the first rap gig to ever take place at Wembley Stadium.

Performing in front of a video backdrop showing a boombox, Eminem wore three-quarter length black trousers and a black t-shirt with an ice hockey mask in Union Jack colours on the front. The opening section of the set focused on Eminem’s more recent material including ‘Square Dance’ and ‘3AM.’

“Let me take a minute to look at the crowd,” said Eminem. “God damn, we missed you.” Eminem’s last UK performance came in August 2013 when he headlined the Reading & Leeds Festivals.

Backed by a full band, songs such as ‘The Way I Am’ ended with an extended guitar solo. Meanwhile, the rapper’s drum skin was adorned by an image of a middle finger raised in the air. This was matched by red foam fingers held by audience members.

Dr Dre’s appearance came after a performance of Eminem’s 1999 collaboration with Notorious B.I.G., ‘Dead Wrong’.
Arriving on stage to the sound of ‘The Next Episode’, the rapper turned Beats Electronics entrepreneur then played ‘Still Dre, ‘Nuthin’ But A G Thang’ and ‘Forgot About Dre’ before promptly leaving the stage.

Despite being joined by his mentor, Eminem did not bring out any more guests. This meant anyone expecting to see Rihanna on either ‘The Monster’ or ‘Love The Way You Lie’ were left disappointed. However, Eminem did dedicate the former to “Ladies of London.” Simialrly, Dido remained absent during ‘Stan.’

During a rare moment of acknowledging the huge audience, Eminem asked: “How many of y’all motherfuckers here are fucked up? And how many are just fucked up mentally?” Both questions were greeted by cheers from the fans. “Let’s do some of the shit from when I used to get fucked up.”

The latter part of Eminem’s first night at Wembley then saw the rapper focus on his biggest hits, playing a medley of ‘My Name Is’, ‘The Real Slim Shady’ and ‘Without Me’ as well as ‘Sing For The Moment’, ‘Like Toy Soldiers’ and ‘Not Afraid.’

As per usual at Eminem gigs, the show ended with Eminem uniting the sell-out audience for a rendition of ‘Lose Yourself.’

Eminem played:

‘Bad Guy’
‘Square Dance’
‘Won’t Back Down’
‘3AM’
‘Business’
‘Kill You’
‘White America’
‘Mosh’
‘Evil Deeds’
‘Rap God’
‘Marshall Mathers’
‘Don’t Give A Fuck’
‘Still Don’t Give A Fuck’
‘Criminal’
‘The Way I Am’
‘Dead Wrong’
‘The Next Episode’
‘Still Dre’
‘Nuthin’ But A G Thang’
‘Forgot About Dre’
‘Love The Way You Lie’
‘Stan’
‘Sing For The Moment’
‘Like Toy Soldiers’
‘Forever’
‘Berzerk’
‘Survival’
”Till I Collapse’
‘Cinderella Man’
‘The Monster’
‘My Name Is’
‘The Real Slim Shady’
‘Without Me’
‘Not Afraid’
‘Lose Yourself’
