Benzino Says He Wants To Squash The Beef With Eminem

Benzino and Eminem have been in a heated rivalry for almost 12 years now. It all started over a review of one of Eminem’s albums in the source but it continued to get out of control from there. Over the years Em and Benzino have dissed each other back and forth many times.

It has gotten really dirty and out of hand over the years, even getting 50 Cent and others involved. Finally it looks like Benzino wants to squash the beef. He seems very apologetic about everything and hopes to make peace with Eminem. He recently told Vlad TV:

“The whole Eminem beef was blown out of proportion… As far as I’m concerned people go at it all the time, but ours was just blown out of proportion. And I’m sure people can understand why. But that’s behind me now. And I told him if I ever seen him I would love to get into a conversation with him, with Marshall. I would love to have some type of conversation. No matter what. What we went through is always gonna be history. Always. He’s an incredible lyricist. There’s no question about it.”

It may have been blown of proportion but he definitely helped make it that way.

What do you think, should Eminem squash the beef with Benzino?

Eminem Sets A Guinness World Record With The Song Rap God

Eminem has broken a lot of records in his day but Guinness has just announced that he recently set one. Eminem’s song “Rap God” now has the honor of in the Guinness Book of World Records. The song now holds the record for most words in a hit single with 1,560 words in the song.

Eminem isn’t the only musician who recently set a record. Miley Cyrus was the most searched for pop star in 2013, Shakira was the most “liked” pop star on Facebook and Metallica was recognized as the first band to tour on all 7 continents.

You know what they say about records, they’re meant to be broken.

Which one do you think Eminem will break next?

Mikey Trapstar Talks About Designing Eminem’s Merch For The Monster Tour

Complex.com recently talked to designer Mikey Trapstar about what it was like to work with Eminem and Rihanna to design merch for The Monster Tour. You can check out the interview by click HERE and you can read few select highlights below:

Were both Rihanna and Eminem hands on?

They gave us great direction. We pretty much got free reign, but it’s their brand at stake, so there were a few tweaks here and there out of their opinions, but other than that I guess they trusted us.

What was it like working with Eminem?

I just tried not to let anybody’s status or their greatness intimidate how I design. And that’s what they wanted. People like messing with people who stand up to them, who stand their ground. You have to bring something more to the table rather than conform a bit too much, so we just did our designs and they, by grace of God, messed with us.

The “Monster” tour merch is currently online, but will you sell it elsewhere, outside of being at the shows?

That’s a conversation we have to have with all three. I think they might want to keep it timeless because that was the big thing, because it’s only six dates. The collaboration itself between two artists is something that’s never going to happen. That’s the other thing—the main thing about merch is, “I was there” and how [the wearer] were there in this epic moment where two of the biggest artists of our time collaborated together. You don’t see that every day. It’s kind of like it should be with sneakers and limited releases these days. That’s why people queue around the block. That’s why people are happy, that’s why some people don’t even wear the clothes and just keep it because it means more to them. I collect graphic tees as well and I don’t wear them.

Eminem Teases New Album Shady XV

Eminem got a lot of people talking with his Detroit shows not only because of the performance itself, but also because he dropped some big news. Eminem wore a “Shady XV” shirt on the last day of The Monster Tour at Comerica Park on Saturday.\

He also released a video which you can see by clicking HERE which shows video clips and then teases “Shady XV” for Black Friday.

Not much is known at this point as to what will be on “Shady XV.” It will be the 15th release in the 15 year history of Shady Records so naturally this has created speculation that it will most likely feature artists from the label’s roster.

50 Cent Says Eminem And Jay Z Are Not Equals

50 Cent recently spoke to Music Choice where he weighed in on the recent Jay Z/Eminem controversy. It’s clear which side 50 stands on and although he may be biased because Em helped his career, he makes some great points.

“You can get like whoever you think is the best Black artist and stand them face-to-face in a room with Em and he will eat that n***a alive. Right now if you had them prepare themselves, whatever way they would have to prepare themselves to come battle, I bet what I have, everything I have, that n***a’s meatloaf… Any other competition we would put theses artists in, he’s obviously surpassed them.

There are points were they will match Em and Jay. That was Live Nation because [Jay Z] sold his touring career to Live Nation. They’ve got to keep him hot enough to go get their money back. So they match him up with Em, put them together cause he got momentum connected to his relationship with Beyonce and his record with Alicia [Keys].
It makes sense, the Detroit/New York show. But it only makes sense to me because of business. It makes sense, because Em sold like 60 million records more than him. How you put them there like they’re equals? It’s tough for me to say some of this s**t and not sound like a hater. But I don’t care.”

Eminem Takes The Ice Bucket Challenge Live On Stage In Detroit

After leaving us hanging for a few days, Eminem finally made good on his promise to participate in the ice bucket challenge. Eminem didn’t just participate in the challenge, he did it with style. Eminem was challenged last week by his friend Dr. Dre and he went on to take the challenge in front of 45,000 people in his hometown.

He’s definitely a pretty good sport about it and after he made good on his promise, he challenged Rihanna to step up.

“Detroit, what you think? Should I do it? I’m from the islands; I don’t do this ice shit! This ice shit doesn’t work for me,” the singer said to the crowd.

Ultimately Rihanna went through with it too as her and Eminem wrapped up a another run of great shows on a happy note.
